Niche mana rock for token and tribal strategies, but the four-mana cost and tapped entry make it too slow for competitive formats, and the mana output is unreliable until you've already built a board presence. Best suited to casual Commander decks built around creature type synergies where you can consistently trigger multiple shared types.
