Niche mana generator for spell-heavy UR decks, but the five-mana cost and card disadvantage make it a poor fit compared to efficient cantrips and dedicated ramp. The mana acceleration is real—three red and two blue is substantial—but you're paying five mana and a net loss of two cards to get it, which is too slow for competitive formats and too clunky for Commander where better ramp exists at lower costs.
