Reliable ramp and selection for blue-green midrange and Commander decks. Planar Genesis offers flexibility that makes it valuable in both roles: it accelerates your mana when you need it, or smooths your hand when you don't. The instant speed lets you hold up interaction while still advancing your game plan, and the library filtering helps mitigate flood or screw. Not as efficient as dedicated ramp spells like Cultivate, but the dual utility and instant-speed option make it a solid inclusion in decks that value versatility over raw speed.
