When Iroh enters, create a Food token. At the beginning of combat on your turn, you may have target opponent gain control of target permanent you control. When you do, create a 1/1 white Ally creature token. Put a +1/+1 counter on that token for each permanent you own that your opponents control.

Niche political tool for Boros and Mardu Commander decks. Iroh rewards you for temporarily gifting permanents to opponents, generating Ally tokens that scale with the number of your own permanents they control—a clever but narrow mechanic that demands careful sequencing and table politics to maximize value. The Food token on entry provides minor utility, but the core appeal is the combat-phase ability, which works best in decks already built around temporary control effects or sacrifice synergies. Outside of those specific shells, the setup required rarely justifies the slot over more straightforward threats.
