For as long as you control Hama, you may cast the exiled card during your turn by waterbending {X} rather than paying its mana cost, where X is its mana value. (While paying a waterbend cost, you can tap your artifacts and creatures to help. Each one pays for {1}.)

Powerful tempo and value engine for blue-black control and mill strategies. Hama mills on entry while giving you access to an opponent's best noncreature spell, effectively stealing a high-impact card while generating card advantage. The waterbend mechanic makes casting the exiled card flexible and repeatable, turning a single mill trigger into repeated value across multiple turns. Works best in Commander and Pioneer control shells where you can protect it and leverage the stolen spell alongside your own interaction suite.
