Niche reanimation engine for black midrange and graveyard strategies, but the high mana cost and reliance on instant/sorcery targeting limits its consistency compared to more efficient reanimation outlets. Best in Commander decks built around targeted spells and creature recursion, where the ward clause also provides meaningful protection.
