As an additional cost to cast this spell, waterbend {X}. (While paying a waterbend cost, you can tap your artifacts and creatures to help. Each one pays for {1}.) Tap up to X target creatures, then distribute three stun counters among any number of tapped creatures your opponents control. (If a permanent with a stun counter would become untapped, remove one from it instead.)

Reliable tempo tool for blue control and tempo decks. Crashing Wave scales efficiently with available artifacts and creatures, turning your board into a mana engine while locking down opposing threats with stun counters. The flexibility to distribute stun counters across multiple creatures makes it particularly strong in formats where incremental disruption matters—especially Commander and Pioneer control shells where you're already running artifact synergies.
