Niche Commander payoff for Lesson-focused strategies, but the high mana cost and reliance on graveyard setup limit its appeal outside dedicated decks. Bumi offers flexible utility—pump, scry, or land animation—when it connects, but six mana is a steep ask for a creature that needs setup to maximize value. Best suited for casual Lesson decks or Gruul midrange brews that can reliably stock the graveyard; in optimized lists, the mana investment rarely outpaces more efficient threats or payoffs.
