Botanical Brawler enters as a respectable 3/3 with trample and grows whenever you distribute counters across your board, rewarding the kind of wide counter distribution that decks like Hardened Scales and Ozolith-based strategies already want to execute. Best in Commander and Pioneer where you have room for dedicated counter synergies; less impactful in faster formats where the payoff is too slow.
