Niche finisher for life-gain-focused green decks, but the five-mana cost and reliance on accumulating life gain make it too slow and conditional for competitive formats. Works best in casual Commander builds centered around Lifegain or +1/+1 counter strategies, where it can turn excess healing into a meaningful combat boost—but decks with that focus typically have more efficient payoffs available.
