Niche tempo piece for control and tempo strategies, but the damage drawback and narrow effect make it a poor choice compared to efficient removal or established tap effects like Frost Bite or Teferi's Touch. Only worth considering in very specific blue-based stall decks where the permanent tap effect justifies the life loss.
