Aang's vigilance requirement is awkward—you need a Lesson in your graveyard to unlock evasion—and the +1/+1 counter payoff only triggers when your own creatures die, making it a poor fit for go-wide strategies and a liability in creature-heavy decks. Better alternatives exist for both the vigilance effect and the counter synergy in Commander.
